This is my first night out with my new GoPro Wide, and I am very impressed with the quality, if not with my ability to tighten the mount down enough to keep it pointed up. :)
So, this is me on the first three laps of Shannonville, Ontario's Fabi track. I'm on a 200hp GSX-R 1000 which has been lightened down to about 390 pounds with fluids and set up with Ohlins suspension internals.
However, I am in much slower traffic... at first I'm ok with that, then in the second lap around, I start passing because my tires are up to temp.
And there ends the proper video - I land an impromptu wheelie hard enough to knock the camera focus down. Normally I would curse and throw that part of the video away, but i didn't.
And why? Well, 10 seconds before the end of the video, my bike literally tears the chain in two. It spit the chain out the back and onto the track surface at over 100mph (I rev out 2nd and shift to 3rd, maybe 200km/h). Miraculously, nothing got hurt at all... not the cases, not my leg, nothing... very lucky.
