Virtual Garden Book 2 was concert event at EKKO, Bergen Kunsthall in 2005 with 3 minimal musical pieces performed by BIT20, accompanied by live video. The pieces where Ryoanji by John Cage, Elektra by Knut Våge and Vox Balenae by George Crumb. The title points towards the final piece Ryoanji by John Cage, inspired by the zen stone garden by the Ryoanji temple in Japan. The idea of this temple has provided a frame for the idea of the event, and in the videowork I have used the idea of the surrounding intense green forest filled with mosscovered rocks. The videosetup for Ryoanji was made in 2003 but is performed as a live improvisation.
