As a NYC artist I've creatively developed this all on my own. My innovative & iconic yellow hybrid building design for MoMA evolved over the past month after The Museum of Modern Art in NYC announced it was going to raze the multimillion dollar sophisticated Folk Art Museum Building next door completed in 2002 due to limited exhibition area. This created a huge public outcry, official protests including by many leading architects. I saw the opportunity creating my original Yellow Hybrid that would open to & integrate with -- & thereby also save the Folk Art Building -- an idea not conceived of earlier. This animation's the latest stage with the last still images presented revealing a cut away looking up into the interior.
My Yellow Hybrid provides two spectacular organically shaped gallery floors with wide sweeping staircases at each end & new window designs -- plus a roof top sculpture garden & additional specialty spaces, etc. My Hybrid directly connects to a necessarily only very slightly modified Folk Art Building -- as well as separately to the northern side of the bordering MoMA building just to the east on it's 3rd & 4th floors. There will also be a garden below on street level.
A more detailed animation with an inner fly through is in process I'm creating in an advanced architect CAD program but may only be able to complete if I receive some support. My further thoughts are already described on my Facebook page about the larger issues & the why's of it -- & design aspects not reflected in the present animation. I believe horizontal & iconic's the way to go -- & hopeful be realized instead of another MoMA skyscraper planed that already fill midtown. The proposed MoMA skyscraper no matter how high & primarily a hotel -- can't ever achieve that status whereas mine can ignite the public's imagination. (I also composed the music soundtrack)…
