The young monks at Chokyi Gyatso Institute in Dewathang, eastern Bhutan, are participating in Lhomon Education's pilot project to develop holistic education alternatives. They made this video as part of their unit on community. Through reading the story and making the video, the linked subjects such as Bhutanese folklore,alcoholism, and prejudice while strengthening their English skills and learning how to operate cameras and computers. It is the first in what we hope to be many video projects that this class will produce over the next four years of the pilot. Lhomon Education is partially supported by Khyentse Foundation.
