Performance Sylvia Plath: Pursuit bases on the life and literary opus of one of the most famous female poets of the 20th century. American author, Sylvia Plath (1932 - 1963) became a subject of numerous researches and testimonies after committing suicide. Her distressful existence, her virtue of pain depiction and the constant pushing of the boundaries of being have been skilfully transferred into the language of stage. The main narrative frame is constructed from different "stops" of Sylvia's tragic self-annihilation. Despite basing on the rich textual resources, especially on the famous poems Lady Lazarus and Pursuit, the performance remains completely non-verbal and visually ascetic: especially the directing and performing mastery are the remarkable qualities that define it in the spirit of constantly transforming, symbolic allusiveness.
