The footage takes place in the Maldives. I made this video for my IB Art course. The main idea behind it, is that I love nature and I hate what people do to environment because they can't satisfy their own greed. Here is the intro for this video, when I did my presentation (wrote it myself):
The Gulf of Mexico Oil spill is one of the worst environmental disasters. 71 cases of people being affected from the oil spill have been reported. The illness that affected more was the 75 people cleaning the oil. The effects on animals were as twice as much. There were found 461 sea turtles visibly oiled, 17 from which they were dead. 6 dolphins were found visibly oiled, 5 from which they were dead. And total 3, 810 birds found visibly oiled, 1,886 from which they were dead. The environment was ruined by the human’s greed. This is the affect of people’s avidity for getting more and more money. And for what? We should kill our environment, the lands and the seas, to experiment with Mother Nature, so we could get money out of it. Why do we, humans, kill what is not made by hands, to create something that convinces us that we would live better? Do we understand that we kill everything with our greed, and after we have killed everything we cannot eat money? Do we understand that nature is what gives us life? I think not.
