Hey everyone got my new camcorder a few days ago, since I am not to savvy when it comes to video editing it took me a while to figure out how to upload this right to vimeo. I wanted to keep as much quality as I could so I used avisynth. But then I realized that all my videos had weird lines when you move, that is because the Canon shoots video's natively at 60i ("i" means interlaced) which causes a comb effect when viewing on a normal computer. When you plug the canon a HDTV though you don't need to worry as it does not have this effect. To view videos that are in 60i on your pc without the comb effect you need to download vlc media player and turn on deinterlacing.
The cannon shoots at 60i, 30p, and 24p. But all videos are saved at 60i on the memory card. So it took me a while to figure out what deinterlacing is and how to use it, what formats to use. This is a 60 fps video deinterlaced, enjoy.
