In this important second teaching of our current series, Dr. Don G. Pickney presents what Isaiah calls “the rich sea trade and the wealth of nations” (Isaiah 60:5 Moffatt’s Translation) (the KJV reads, “the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee…”).
For the past 20 years, Pastor Don has majored on this event in which God orchestrates a global event, just prior to the coming of the Lord, in which the wealth of the wicked Gentile world will be given to the body of Christ, so that the Church may enjoy God’s “creative glory,” which was His great plan from the beginning of creation, as we are told in Proverbs 13:22 “… and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up.” (Amplified Bible)
But a great part of this glorious period involves God’s glory coming “upon” the church and resting upon them – God’s “shekinah presence” enveloping His believers, while at the same time there will be a great conversion of the wealth of the world that will come to them.
Sounds farfetched and fantastical, doesn’t it? Nevertheless, it will happen before the coming of Christ and it will be the second time God has done such a feat! The first occurred when Israel left Egypt. On that occasion, it was to fulfill a prophetic promise from God to Abraham:
Genesis 15:12-14 “That evening as the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram, and a vision of terrible foreboding, darkness, and horror. (13) Then Jehovah told Abram, “Your descendants will be oppressed as slaves in a foreign land for 400 years. (14) But I will punish the nation that enslaves them, and at the end they will come away with great wealth.”
Yes! God spoiled “a nation” to give their wealth to His elect people, Israel! The first “wealth conversion of an entire nation for God’s people went like this:
Exodus 12:33-36 “And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people of Israel, to get them out of the land as quickly as possible. For they said, “We are as good as dead.” (35) And the people of Israel did as Moses said and asked the Egyptians for their silver and gold jewelry and for clothing. (36) And the Lord gave the Israelis favor with the Egyptians, so that they gave them whatever they wanted. And the Egyptians were stripped of everything they owned!”
God made no apologies for doing it, in fact later He boasted of it through His servant Moses as the greatest event since He created Adam on the earth:
Deuteronomy 4:32-34 “For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? (34) Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?”
But this event is not just a matter of history, rather it turns out in scripture to be “a prelude” of an even greater event (that would then make the latter event the greatest thing God has done since He created Adam on the earth!
Haggai 2:5-9 “According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not. (6) For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; (7) And I will shake all nations, and the desire (desirable things – Revised Version) of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. (8) The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts. (9) The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Truly, what God has planned in this end-of-the-age event is the greatest event since He created Adam on the earth.
Today, we are seeing the “rich sea trade” (the world’s supply chain) under assault and broken. God’s great orchestrating arm is stretched out over the nations just as He has declared of this “last days” event. In this teaching we see the results of the “angel of God’s glory” (God’s created glory), as he shakes his hand upon the nations to begin the fulfillment of prophecy.
In Isaiah 60, we are given the promise for the Christian believers, “And your gates shall be open continually, they shall not be shut day or night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations.” (Isaiah 60:11)
Get ready for much biblical prophetic revelation in this teaching.
