Caroline Kraabel's acceptance speech for Ivor Novello Composer Award for Sound Art. The piece awarded (London 26 and 28 March 2020: imitation: inversion) is dedicated to Carole Chant, whose art and music ended too soon when she was among tens of thousands to die of Covid 19 because of the UK Government's lack of care for the population in the early days of (and indeed throughout) the pandemic.
