This video shows my brief outing to Marina State Beach, CA to escape the early season heat wave we were experiencing in the inland areas of the Bay Area. Our area in San Jose, CA was also under a heat advisory as well! High temps for this afternoon went into the lower 90's (93 to be exact). It was indeed one of the warmest days so far this year!
I also didn't enjoy and sit down to see a sunset by the sea in a while. The sun had set over the Monterey Bay. It was a bit hazy so the sun was almost totally not visible as it breached and touched the horizon (which was the climax). It was surprisingly not breezy and it was relatively calm. Usually it's a bit breezy here.
All in all, it was a nice mini outing this early May spring afternoon/early evening...not to mention getting lost a bit while headed back home! lol. I actually went into the Santa Cruz County and passed through Watsonville before finally heading back into familiar territory along U.S. 101.
