Timothy C. McCormick was a good friend, and a man for others. On February 16th, 2013, he was killed while in the line of duty as an EMT.
The loss of Tim will continue to pull at the strings of our hearts. But we can learn from Tim, and we can be better people if we take inspiration from his life. We can be a little more optimistic when we think about his indomitable spirit. We can work a little bit harder when we think of how he labored. We can be little bit better to others when we think about how much it meant to Tim to do the same. And most of all, we can remember. We can remember Tim, and all that he was, and all that he meant and will continue to mean in his enduring legacy. Your time on this Earth was too short, Tim. And that piece of our hearts that is missing is the piece you took so that you wouldn't have to go alone. Your legacy will last far longer than your time with us on Earth. And you will always, always be loved.
I made this video so that those fortunate enough to know Tim could have something more to remember him by, and those who did not know him could know the kind of person he was.
For those interested in the production methods, all original footage contributed by myself was shot on a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. The photos that I contributed to the production were shot on a Canon EOS Rebel XT and a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Photos and video were also gathered from many other sources, including many friends and acquaintances of Tim. Both interview audio and VO audio were recorded using a handheld Olympus LS-10 linear PCM recorder. Post-production was done in After Effects, Aperture, Audition, and Photoshop on a late-2012 15" Retina MacBook Pro.
