One year ago I was sitting at my desk and thinking about pulsur (pylsur), the Icelandic Hot Dog. Few months prior I decided to stop eating meat and thought that to be a good decision, but I always had this craving for a Hot Dog. After few days of thinking, and trying out various option to reduce the craving. I decided to pick up the phone and figure out how to make my own vegetarian Hot Dog from natural Icelandic ingredients. I called Matís (an independent food research institute) and Nýsköpunarmiðstöð (The Innovation Center of Iceland), and told them about my craving. To cut a long story short I introduce Bulsur, Icelandic pulsur made from Barley and other nice ingredients.
