Ihlas College is an organization known for its commitment to our environment. Air pollution is one of the most serious threats that our World facing today. To take action and out of responsibility to our environment, our Science and Technology teachers and our children are implementing several projects. Sustainable transportation is one of these. Our school uses etudes and after-class courses on weekdays and weekends to give our students an education of highest quality. Some attendants of these studies, who do not use school services, use their own vehicles. Approximately 1500 students attend to these etudes in a week and 1000 vehicles release 3 tons of carbon oxides, 400 kg of hydrocarbons and also 150 kg of nitrogen oxides to the environment in a day. Unfortunately, we are all responsible for this picture. Reducing our share in this picture is possible if we work together.
We, as Ihlas College, support using the E-Learning System actively to contribute to sustainable transportation. Students are able to follow each class session comfortably in their own lives. Thus, students will not need to come to the school but able to participate effectively to the after school lessons and studies by interaction with their teachers through the Online Classes in the E-Learning System.
