Women's Bean Project is a social enterprise that employs chronically impoverished and unemployed women and helps them earn job readiness, interpersonal and life skills to create a new future for themselves, their families, our community and our economy. Program participants work in a transitional job in manufacturing to receive immediate income and support services to overcome barriers to employment, while learning job readiness, interpersonal and life skills needed to keep a job.
We celebrate our graduates each year during Women's Bean Project's Annual Ready, Set, Grow! Graduation Celebration and Fundraising Luncheon. After nine months, our graduates transition into entry-career-level jobs, often for the first time in their lives.
