Consumed is an interactive installation featuring objects that are no longer used, for instance tapes, cassettes, old remote, and objects that are discarded after being used just once - Coke can, heel, or detergent bottle. In the installation these object are converted into touch sensitive instruments that make sound when touched. A combination of musical sounds and samples allow the user to create various melodics that blend with the video projection displayed over the whole piece. The interaction is extended with additional sounds and video overlays that are triggered when two or more objects are touched at the same time. Finding these connections allows to modify the default audio-visual setup or change it completely. The default theme can be described as an urban them, and is juxtaposed to theme associated with nature. There are 3 couples of objects and one group of 3 objects that are used in this fashion and they are matched depending on how they relate to each other: a remote would go with a VHS tape, a cassette with a Walkman, etc.
