On Saturday 11th May a group of young men on the ORIGIN rites of passage programme went Gliding. ORIGIN supports young people (13-17 years) to become young adults and works closely with their families in the process. All the Facilitators are men who are volunteers.
This video is of Elijah, who is one of the young people on the programme. Here he reflects on the activity that he has just completed.
When the group of young men graduate they will have been on the programme for about 18 months. By then they will have completed ORIGIN's four key elements (Earth, Fire, Water and Air). Challenge activities are part of the Fire element. These are opportunities to grow and develop.
For some, the Fire element activities confront fears. For others they broaden horizons. For all, they are ordeals that they never forget!
