This RPI Players documentary follows their production of “Curtians” in Spring 2013. The film interviews eight members of the club and designers involved in the production of the show. While covering the process of the production, it is revealed who the members of RPI Players are and what it means to be a theater person.
Q: This was filmed in HD, but it looks like butt!
A: That's because I don't know how to render it under 500MB and keep the quality.
Q: You have like 7 weeks of footage! Why isn't it longer?
A: There's a saying that for every hour of footage you take, only 5 minutes are useable. I might edit a directors cut later on.
Q: Who is who?
A: My editing software likes to crash when I try to insert text, so I didn't get to label everyone with their name and role. You can see a list of names in the credits if that makes you feel any better.
Q: Why did you use piano man in the end credits?
A: Piano Man is the last song played at every cast party and marks the end of a show. It's sort of an easter egg for those who are in RPI Players.
Q: Why didn't you have Marc do a fire announcement?
A: I didn't think of it until after I was finished...
