Countries in the world have choices in the services they offer their people and the products they create and sell. The choices countries make always have implications. One stark choice involves clean drinking water and the production and selling of weapons. One makes life possible and the other does not.
“Water Not Weapons” is an idea that was started by Pete Seeger and whose work has been promoted and encouraged by the World Water Rescue Foundation. Songs of Freedom Television and The Yippie Museum Café worked together to host five different Water Not Weapons events between 2008 and 2010 to assist this cause. Artists gave their time, talent, and energy in the name of global sustainability and a better world. The performances were inspired and the energy was empowering. Songs of Freedom Television was there to record it all. The video episodes you see here are the result.
Enjoy the music and then get busy taking action. We have a lot of work to do.
