UV Direct-to-Film Printing | Customizing Helmets
What's the big deal about helmets? Well we got a bunch of different sizes and styles of helmets to show you the best way to decorate them.
You can't just load these into a UV printer because they have bills, ridges on the side, they have odd shapes. So we are going to show you how to address these issues.
The answer is UV DTF Printing. First we print our logos, names, design, or mascots on to a sheet of transfer paper using our Mutoh XpertJet 661UF printer. It first prints the colors, then a clear overcoat.
All of these transfers in this video costs only about a $1.00 worth of ink.
Next is the lamination step. We are going to use heat and pressure to apply a carrier sheet to our transfers so that we can apply them onto our helmets.
Now you just cut out your logo, put it on your helmet with a little bit of pressure and remove the clear sheet. and THAT'S IT!
