Looking for October, educational documentary film by School of Missing Studies (SMS) from 2004 is now accessible online. Film documents the research project about contemporary meanings of liberation of cities. In early 2000s democratic government of Belgrade decided not to celebrate anymore 20th October 1944 as the day of the liberation of Belgrade from fascist Germany. However, streets, schools, awards, parks and cinemas with the name 20th October remain. Participants in this SMS project explored what was left behind and created short video animations to project the absence of the holiday towards the future of the city. Film Looking for October was directed by Dušan Gligorov, director from Moscow.
