Chris Bracey's signs jump out at you - and you might have walked past hundreds of them without ever knowing. I spotted that he was having his first solo exhibition in London and went to delve into his life. What a character! Walthamstow born and bred, he learnt neon from his father, then made just about every glowing sign in Soho before ending up in films - making parts of the sets for Bladerunner, Batman and Bond. Now his work hangs on the walls of Professor Green and JayZ. His studio is a glorious jumble of a 40 year career. Chris is still working, still prolific, has taught his trade to his son Marcus - and is inspiring his grandchildren too - so that neon stays in the blood.
