After watching the Stoke Webinar a few days ago, they mentioned that they wanted more examples of Stoke doing cool things. I know Naiad sims are all the rage right now, but I wanted to use ONLY Max's default Spacewarps to achieve a nice look. Now, because Stoke uses velocity fields to produce particles, I figured it was a great tool to create some foam and mist (whichever you prefer) to something such as this.
I have stoke using the cached pflow particles (24 partitions of 250 frames with a rate of 250,000 particles) and the wind, gravity spacewarps to effect the particle movement. To get a tad bit of more lightness and advection look (like you would see in a Naiad sim) I doubled the wind turbulence and halved the gravity.
Now, what I find neat about this is that I had Stoke create particles with a rate of 100,000 per frame. I think that took 30 minutes. Keep in mind, this is using my previous PRT's as sources and it was still damn fast.
Again, this is all done with Pflow, Krakatoa, and Stoke. Oh, and I used Magma to color the main water by age using a gradient.
