LAUD (eng.: table) is a temporary open-air installation at the ground of the former arts academy. The location is in one of the most important pieces of real estate in downtown Tallinn. LAUD activates a cheerless vacant lot used for parking and creates alternatives for organizing art and other events. 50-metre-long concrete board on the ground provides a space for public lectures and exhibitions during the next months. Visitors are welcome to actively use LAUD.
Three years ago, the Academy of Arts building was demolished. By creating a temporary art gallery, we are bringing the Academy back to its plot. LAUD is a gesture, an invitation to collaborate.
