Well, right now about 30% of web traffic in North America is on a mobile device; iPads, Android phones, iPhones, whatever.
I’ve seen estimates that say next year, 2014, they expect that to be up to 50%. So, about half of your users will be on a mobile device instead of a desktop computer.
So, right now, anybody who isn’t already mobile-y optimized is already falling behind. But next year you’re going to miss one out of two people if you’re not ready for that.
