Hypnotika is a VJ duo from Buenos Aires, Argentina, founded in 2005 by Luis Natali and Sebastian Navon.
Being close friends and partners in the digital advertising and motion design business during the day, and also sharing their love for electronic music and visual arts, they found in VJing the perfect balance between working and having fun.
Creating motion graphics, 3D animations, video footage, and mixing some TV spots left overs, Hypnotika creates an abstract immersion, a visual experience with solid concepts, while keeping a balance between the visuals, the music style of the DJ/performer, and the ambience and vibe of the venue.
Using laptops running Modul8, mapping software, and MIDI controllers for live performance, Hypnotika is able to match the vibe, be deeply connected to the music, and adapt to different screen set ups, offering a coherent and mind blowing visual show.
In their hometown, Hypnotika performed at the main festivals, such as Creamfields Buenos Aires, Moonpark, Southfest, Micro Mutek, One Dot Zero, techno clubs like Club Minimo, Kika, Levitar and their first gig +160 drum & bass suite, where they first started and kept a residency for 4 continuous years.
Hypnotika has performed in Buenos Aires for DJs/artists like: Matthew Dear, Troy Pierce, MANDY, Gui Boratto, Josh Wink, Plump DJs, James Zabiela, Slam, Nathan Fake, Satoshie Tomiie, Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo, and Marky among others.
Now residing in Los Angeles, Luis Natali has been VJing at BrokenBeat (San Diego), and as a guest member of V Squared Labs, he's been VJing with Miguex (San Diego) at the Drum&Bass and Techno stages of huge festivals such as Escape from Wonderland, Beyond Wonderland, Electronic Daisy Carnival (Las Vegas) and HardFest, performing visuals for artists as Andy C, The Gaslamp Killer, Joey Beltram, Dash Berlin, Tritonal, Markus Schulz, High Contrast, Plastician, Netsky, Crizzly, Ed Rush & Optical and Magnetic Man among others.
