A documentary about French photographer and visual artist André Villers directed by Marketa Tomanova.
André Villers takes photographs, develops, enlarges, cuts, glues, assembles, replaces, staples, takes out, rips off, and puts back together…. He remains active even though he is already 82 years.
He is a fully-fledged artist. He has seen many of them in his life, and some very significant ones.
From Picasso to Fellini through Le Corbusier, Fernand Léger, Chagall, Dali, Bunuel. He has photographed them all but has never boasted about it. Throughout his life, he kept a low profile, even if his photos are known worldwide.
