What do you get when you put two and two together? Well, the obvious question would be four, but I guarantee you it's not the only answer
Hi. My name is Peter Sofronas, and my play, “2&2” has been accepted into this year’s New York City Fringe Festival.
"2&2" is the story of Tommy Hanson, a disgruntled comic book artist with a peculiar fixation on Superman. He suddenly finds his life turned upside-down when he meets and is attracted to a mild-mannered, yet attractive stranger named David Sharpe -- who happens to be dating Tommy's estranged sister.
As the play opens, Tommy is reeling from the news that his childhood friend had committed suicide -- something Tommy blames himself for.
David's entrance into Tommy's life is the catalyst to forgiveness and to the acceptance that the past could not have been any different.
It's not an easy lesson to learn. Your past cannot be changed. It's up to you to take action and break the cycle for your future.
And that's what I am doing with this play.
But I need your help.
In order to put on this show, we need to raise $6000. This will help pay for the rehearsal space, insurance, cast and crew and other show-related expensive.
$6000 doesn’t sound like a lot of money when you compare it to the multi-million dollar budget shows, but to us, it means the world.
Please donate what you can and help us put “2&2” together.
