The Path (2012-2013)
The Path performance intrigues the audience in a quest for both personal and collective freedom, while exploring the boundaries between inner and outer imprisonment. Confined in a prison cell, the body narrates, travels, walks, covers endless distances within the urban and the inner landscape, while revealing itself through symbols, sounds and images. The performance aims to give the audience space and time to follow their own parallel itinerary, as well as to interpret their own personal imprisonment.
Their story begins with steps from underground. Steps are the numbers. Numbers that do not form an order. We cannot count them, because each one of them has a different quality: a style of tactual perception and kinesthetic appropriation. Their continuous sonorous movement is composed of countless singlenesses. The steps intertwine by molding spaces. Weaving spaces.
