The Motogiro America was a 5-day road enduro for vintage motorcycles in Monterey and San Luis Obispo counties. This highlight feature (the audio is a work in progress) shows most of the main players. A swell time was had by all, except Frank Scurria, who had a terrible confrontation with a truck, but survived and recovered. Contemporary motorcycles were allowed in the non-trophy Touring Class.
The special guests were Giuliano Maoggi, winner of the 1956 Motogiro d'Italia; Paul Smart, winner of the 1972 Imola 200, and Cook Neilson and Phil Schilling, rider/builder team of the 1977 Daytona Superbike race-winning Ducat Super Sport..
The Motogiro was sponsored by Ducati and Piaggio, and produced by Burt Richmond and Diane Fitzgerald. Team Geezer provided road support and shot a few photos. It was quite a keen event.
A longer version (with better audio) is in the works. Team Geezer contact: email@example.com
