In 1988 during a visit to Victoria of standard gauge New South Wales steam locomotive 3801, a return tour to Seymour was arranged using four steam locomotives and three trains.
Two of the trains ran on the broad gauge tracks which run parallel to the standard gauge.
This video was taken from the train pulled by broad gauge R class steam locomotive R761, and shows mainly the other two trains; one the other broad gauge train in charge of locomotives D3 639 and a K class, and the other train on standard gauge with 3801.
The trains moved past one another at varying speeds on the trip, for the passengers to experience close up action of the locomotives and trains.
