For years I've had this misguided notion that this project was my pièce de résistance. Looking back, all I can truly attribute to it are fond memories, a few embarrassed winces, and my hyper-utilizitation of all that Windows Movie Maker had to supply my grandiose ambitions as a novice "filmmaker." It's rough, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't proud of it.
Freshman year, circa 2008. My youth pastor encouraged the kids to make a video tying into our series about "how God pursued us." Nah. We just wanted to goof off, though I became de facto director. Well, I had a camera. Nothing serious until I started piecing it all together in post. After premiering the finished project to an enthusiastic youth group, gears started turning in my head. Maybe I had found my niche.
I will spare you from any further trivial reminiscence, such as how this video inspired many a running joke in future projects. So all I can say is: Yeah, it's stupid. Gotta start somewhere though.
