On the 23rd of September 2009 a major dust storm described as the worst on record covered most of Australia in a thick blanket. They reported that 75 thousand tones of dirt was falling every hour across Australia. The clean up bill is in the 10's of millions.
This a quick look into the images I took on the day on my 5D Mark II. I was an amazing site. My gear and myself were coated in red dirt.
