A VERY, VERY short test of Magic Lantern's 14 bit RAW video on the Canon 60D, this shot is completely ungraded. I used the RAW TO DNG application to make my DNGs, then I put the DNGs in After Effects where I exported the file to a 720p ProRes 444 movie. So far I like some of the results I'm getting, although they are not nearly as good as what I am getting on my 5D Mark II. I can only get around 10 seconds of video in 720p, and the DNGs that I'm getting are quite messy, and have some serious image issues, but the dynamic range and color information are still fantastic! The build is also pretty unstable, but I expected this. Hopefully these issues will be improved in later, more official builds. All in all, I think it is a pretty cool concept, and a step in the right direction. I will be uploading a full test video tomorrow when I finish shooting it.
