Anastasia is 12 years old and she lives in Verona. She is the daughter of an Englishman and an Italian woman from the Friuli region, both street performers. They live in an apartment with its owner Vicenzo, professor of physics, who decided to share his home with the family when they found themselves in a state of emergency housing.

The photographic project, initially aimed to investigate an alternative way of living, a sort of cohousing totally for free (the professor hosts the guests without requiring any payment) during a period of great economic uncertainty and existential fragility. After, it was gradually transformed into the story of the delicate transition from childhood to adolescence lived in an ‘atypical ‘ context.

Born in Verona, Italy, in 1982, she graduated in Law at Statale University of Milan and in Venice with a Master in Photography and Digital Imaging. In 2010 she started working as a freelance photographer, in 2011 she joined Prospekt Agency, Milan. In 2012 she won the first prize of the Inail/Prospekt Award and in 2011 she had a special mention at Giovanni Tabò prize – Roma Fotoleggendo. Her pictures were exhibited in Italy and abroad (Rencontres d'Arles, La Nuit de l'Annèe, 2012 - Slideluck London, Format Festival Grand Finale, Derby, 2013) and published, among others, on D La Repubblica delle Donne, L'Espresso, Vanity Fair, Corriere della Sera, Sportweek, Piel de Foto. Her meditation is about the interlacements between history, memory and the function of photographic representation.
