As part of the CAN 2nd Regional Meeting and Workshop which was held in Manila, 9 international groups visited different communities across the city. Over the course of 4 days we used participatory methods to undertake detailed mapping of the communities. Following this we were able to provide technical assistance to residents on issues of DRR, upgrading, re-blocking plans + cost cutting design.
Santo Niño is a community of approx.400 families living along a polluted and degraded creek. They suffer regular and extreme flooding events.
