As part of their programme to attain the Foresters Badge, Griffin Scouts had the privilege to spend an extended meeting in Tervuren Arboretum, where they met with the Gentlemen who manage the Royal Forest.
They learned about natural hedging, how to identify trees, forest management, tree felling and were instructed on how to fell a small tree, and they thinned out some smaller trees in small groups lead by an adult.
