Robbi is an interactive toy that supports communication between a child and psychologist during their therapy sessions.
Developed together with the psychologists of Barn- och ungdomspsykiatrisk kilinik (children and adolescence psychiatry clinic), Malmö, Sweden. The result of this collaboration was the creation of Robbi that helps bringing together a psychologist and a child. Based on the ideas of avatar as a representation of oneself and abstractions of semiotics it creates a new experience for the child during the therapy sessions and at the same time guides the conversation that leads to the diagnosis or as a part of treatment.
Prototype based on Arduino and TFT screen showed positive results in real-life user testing.
