group is a 90 minute interactive audio-visual performance that will premiere in Pittsburgh this October, led by Scott Andrew (scottnandrew.com) and Nina Sarnelle (ninasarnelle.com). We are raising money to release an album in advance of our performances in the fall of 2013.
Like the show, our recorded album will guide listeners through 9 progressive platforms: agree, contact, voice, ingest, trim, act, fatigue, breathe, and release.
Each platform is a separate track on the album, and includes instructions for the listener to participate in our meditations, chants, breath work, and physical exercises.
The money you contribute will pay for all costs associated with producing and distributing the album, including time in a recording studio, and professional mixing and mastering services.
Our incentives include an album download, a ticket to our show, and even a private performance for you and your friends. Think of it as a pre-order. For the same cost as purchasing the album after it's released, you can actually help make it happen!
Every little bit helps even if we don't reach our target goal, and if you are unable to contribute to the campaign, you can still help group by sharing it with friends and family. Post it to your facebook wall, tweet about us, send an email to someone you think might be interested in the project. Any assistance you have to offer will greatly help us to reach our goal.
Visit the group website, iamgroup.me, to join the mailing list if you'd like to receive a reminder about the show. You can also listen to two of our pre-released tracks on soundcloud, and follow us if you'd like to hear more as they come out.
