We had the opportunity to sit down with Charles Anderson a well known Landscape Architect from Seattle, WA to talk about his new idea of what the future holds for Landscape Architecture.
Urbanature like architecture involves the making of place. Both are grounded in the physics of material but the former is specifically guided by the landscape of time. This urbanism makes vital the natural processes that sustains a dynamic more human centered world in need of cities that nurture and foster life of all kinds. As an evolving urban ecology, urbanaturists insist that exquisite urbanism be paired with natural system functions.
As a visiting professor at Arizona State University and University of South California, he passionately educates the young designers to think more than just making something beautiful but also to be problem solvers. He is also a practicing designer in not only in his studio but as well as being named the Design Principal at The Planning Center | DC&E.
