We had strongs winds over the Memorial Day Slope Weekend at Greens Peak. However Sunday morning (early) the winds subsided into the teens. Several of us took the opportunity to fly our lighter gliders in the warm light and cool (42°) air.
I shot this video with my GoPro2 helmet cam setup... 1280p at medium FOV. The glider is my Le Fish Light (60" wing span and 21 ounces) aerobatic slope glider.
Greens Peak is located in North East Arizona. The top of the peak is about 10,000' rising about a 700 feet above the surrounding meadows. It is a cinder cone... covered in nice soft bunch grass on its southern slope. The North side is covered in dense spruce trees. This may be our most scenic flying site in AZ.
