映画『ヒゲの校長』は、 谷進一が監督を務めた作品です。 今作は、手話教育の普及に努め、「手話の父」と呼ばれた高橋潔先生の生涯を描く物語になっています。
髙橋先生が大阪市立聾唖学校へ赴任する直前から始まり、口話推進派とのあつれき、妻・醜子さんとの出会い、子どもたちとのふれあい、口話推進派であった尾張徳川家第十九代当主・徳川義親氏との対決などを描いています。
公開は、2022年を予定しております。
