I began to drive without the radio, I let my subconscious wander while focusing on the repetition and
monotony of this same daily trajectory, and the result was a peaceful mind filled
with new ideas and solutions.
This video compiles more than a month of daily transitions, and is now the collective document of my everyday. The fading paint still reflects its surroundings and distorts road lines and passing cars, conforming them to the shapes and contours of the body panels. Much like the memories we form during this time they are collective under the title of travel, and within these regular trips those moments are resigned to this collective memory and is all we retain.
These, the conscious reactionary elements of the road, are the aggressive and defensive mode we place ourselves in once we assume the drivers seat. But in time the danger becomes routine, and we find a rhythm within the aggression and we are lulled into an action reaction improvisation within the script of the daily drive. The rest is all just part of the path, left behind to be observed and immediately forgotten everyday.
