It was a hot time at the Thursday May 30 Bass Pro Shops cruise at Patriot Place in Foxborough, MA with the Mass Cruisers Auto Club. Not only was the temperature climbing into the low 90's, everyone wanted to cruise and there were thousands basking in the long awaited summer time heat. The 50 - 50 charity drawing benefitted the "Jumping Up For Downs Syndrome" which was also supported by the Bass Pro Shops conducting their annual Dock Dog Competition in the lot fronting the store. We also had a couple of real Patriots, three-time Pro Bowl and Super Bowl championship offensive tackle Matt Light driving his '71 hemi-powered Challenger and current Patriot defensive end Rob Ninkovich driving his custom hi-performance Camaro, enjoying their first cruise at Patriot Place.
The Accurate Automotive & Performance (Hyde Park, Boston) cruise award was selected by Adam Salachi, the 13 year old son of a Bass Pro Shops associate and he fell in love with Dennis McCarthy's custom performance 1962 Corvette. Dennis is from Wellesley, but the car's home base is in Naples, FL. and has only clocked 8,000 miles since its 2000 build. This is also another car available for sale that can't be duplicated for twice the asking price.
