What is a Free Medical Camp?
For answering this question we prepared a 90-second spot based on the images and the comments we received from Fr. Luigi Paggi in the occasion of the Free Medical Camp of June 2nd 2013 made possible by Sister Doctor Roberta Pignone who came from Khulna.
The spot describes in general the aims and the organization of any A-I-M-C-H Free Medical Camp. A camp is only possible when a Doctor is present and requires trained local Volunteers as well, to provide necessary support. The day before the camp, Doctor and Volunteers meet for preparing all necessary materials. On the day of the camp, the clinic times should be between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a one hour break for lunch, and prayers. For each patient Doctor will take history and physical assessment. Whenever possible, patients receive immediately medicines for their diseases, at most if chronic. That's all for free, of course. At the end of the camp, Doctor and Volunteers meet again, when possible in tht presence of a Honourable Member of AIMCH, for discussing how the present experience can help for planning the future.
