Forward Edge International built Villa Esperanza, a "Village of Hope" for vulnerable girls rescued from the Managua city dump. They lived in a village in the dump called La Chureca, where they suffered from extreme filth, poverty, hopelessness and contaminated air that was slowly poisoning them. Many of the girls were also susceptible to drug abuse and sex trading in exchange for first access to new loads of garbage.
At the Villa, these girls now receive safety, love, care, education, vocational training, and ultimately, a chance for a better future.
This video introduces you to the story that inspired Villa Esperanza, the leaders of this ministry and the girls who live there. It also shows you the horrors of life in La Chureca.
You can help reshape the future for more suffering Nicaraguan children by giving towards Forward Edge programs and/or going on a mission team to serve them. forwardedge.org
