The Washington State Affiliate of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, in collaboration with the amazing mixing talents of LA musician Wes Quave and the creative powers of Seattle University film student Jacqueline Liu, has created the attached music video about nurse-midwives. We entered this 4-minute clip in ACNM's 6th Annual Video Contest and learned at the recent national convention that we took 1st place. Of course we are delighted to be winners, but our greater goal is to raise awareness about the services nurse-midwives provide and the joyful spirit that they bring to their work. The rap song threaded through the video tells our story-- that nurse-midwives not only birth with women in multiple settings (hospital, home, and birth centers) but they also offer well-woman, primary health care.
Here's how we all win: please forward it to your contacts; make a link to it on your email signature; post it on Facebook; or if you are seeking care, find your own midwife today at: http://ourmomentoftruth.midwife.org/OMOT-FIND-A-MIDWIFE
