This video describes the events that occurred during an important battle of the American Revolution. This site is one of more than one-hundred American Revolution sites visited during a month long trip. This last major battle in the North marked the debut of the American Army after the hard winter's training at Valley Forge. It lasted from 10 am to 6 pm and involved 24,000 troops. Although evaluated as a draw by some historians, the battle was considered to be a victory for the Americans because they were left in command of the battle field following the overnight withdrawal by the British. General Charles Lee, who poorly managed his assignment, was court-martialed out of the service shortly after the battle.
