Lets take a break and sit down for an afternoon with Neal Adams. He is a storied illustration artist whose career began in the Silver Age of comic books in the early 1960's with Action Comics, DC, & "X-Men" for Marvel, and whose work continues to this day in many areas of creative endeavor, including illustration, marketing, and book writing & publication. Check out Neal's website, nealadams.com. Comic book & graphic art collecting is riding an incredible wave of popularity. A 10" x 15" pencil drawing by Todd McFarlane done in 1990 for the cover of "The Amazing Spider Man," #328 sold last year at auction for $657,250. Neal's own work commands high prices--check out the "Store" on Neal's site for his original works. If you're in the collectibles business, and you've concluded that there are fewer & fewer young collectors, you may have been looking in all the wrong places. And we're not talking about just inexpensive comic books. This event was be held at the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall in Denver, CO. Michael Murray, "The Comic Consultant," who has twice before appeared on our shows (see "Videos" section) will be joining in the questioning.
