I'm not a follower of the latest pop music by any means, but I stumbled across, then fell in love with, Daft Punk's new album, Random Access Memories. Its takes a classic funk and pop feel from the seventies and early eighties and yet creates something that feels not like a retread or recreation, but totally new - and infectiously danceable.
The Creators Project produced eight separate short interviews with each of the collaborators Daft Punk worked with on this album. However, with so many perceptive comments and common themes spread across the different films, I felt they begged to be combined into one conventional full documentary. That's what I've done here - and the result is only about 20 minutes long, compared to the hour and seven minutes' total running time of the original videos. I hope you enjoy it.
