The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress "Memphis Belle" was in Tulsa for a couple of days and I ran out to shoot some pictures and video of it. I ended up staying out there about 3 hours and watched it take-off and land 4 different times. There were a bunch of people out and, of course, they all kept getting in the way doing the exact thing I was trying to do: Get an unobstructed view. Which is why I stayed for so long to get the "next" view of a take-off / landing / etc. I shot over an hour of video. Here's a little composite of the video I got. I tried to put it to a little period music - Glenn Miller. There were about 4 little boys that kept running around screaming and yelling for a while. I would pick up and move to a new location but the little twerps seemed to just want to follow me around. I don't mind the kids, but I was hoping to pick up the cool engine sounds when they would come running up screaming and making noise. I tried to pull the audio down at times to minimize it, but at the end they came up on me unexpected and started in again. I had enough so just dealt with it and kept shooting. Sorry about them intruding on the audio at the last when the plane was taxiing in. This was the last flight of the day.
Sure is a cool looking airplane.
